The Hungarian-Africa Week, organised by the 20-year-old Foundation for Africa, took place in Budapest from 12-18 September 2022. Thanks to the event, serious and intensive contacts have been established between the participants over the past ten years. The Foundation aimed to bring together actors from different fields and create more effective cooperation. The co-organiser of the Hungary-Africa Week Education Day was the University of Pécs, where a cooperation agreement was signed between the University of Pécs and the Coalition on Media and Education for Development Africa Forum (CAFOR). This agreement is the first cooperation with a European institution which, through CAFOR, will offer young people from Africa the opportunity to study, train and acquire different skills at the University of Pécs or other Hungarian universities. The agreement will also provide new joint research projects and other development opportunities.
